Battle: Los Angeles - Movie Review

For those who get lump in their throat, every time a Marine shout "Hoo-rah" Battle: Los Angeles "filled with acts of martial arts is actually a daring, brave, called the border-on-crazy art piece." Some real shit John Wayne, "that is exactly, especially if Duke would Santa Monica (and by extension, Earth) by a somewhat confused declared bad shot to save alien invasion. Although Aaron Eckhart and allowed a smooth trailer inspire curiosity among them, and are generally not as mind-numbing fare seem a long-term ones, which limits their films stupid and very, very high, such as.

Usually this is the cinematic equivalent of a first-person shooter game, where Marines have only a little more personality than the faceless attackers. Director Jonathan Liebesman (who is "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning" directed) and author Chris Bertolini rake only the absolute amount of time before the beginning of their urban renewal program, which is probably meteor shower to be a stranger attacks. Crash into the Pacific, as Thingamajigs Cylons (which is about all see what you, as in most of the film) are formed randomly start eradicating the population of what people say in the military described as a "campaign of rapid dominance .

Before hullaballoo begins Staff Sgt. Nantz (Eckhart) is ready to quit, had a bad experience at a previous job. But now it's save-the-world time, when his unit is launching a rescue mission to try to stop a planned bombing (of Lincoln Boulevard to the ocean, we are told) by a ticking clock on the case. On the positive side, if you can survive the merciless killing machines, the traffic is usually congested part of town, a relative breeze.

Besides Nantz is almost completely insignificant man, the choice of the Marines grunted a few survivors (Michelle Rodriguez) and civilian (Michael Pena, Bridget Moynahan) is underway, including a pair understandably frightened children. But no matter how much Brian Tyler score swells - and it does so early and often - the offense stirring often enough to require these crescendos.

"Battle: Los Angeles" with an old trick to solve a global threat to the micro level (see "Signs" or the recent "War of the Worlds"), the mysterious alien captured in sudden bursts of chaotic action, merciless on Radio a deafening noise. Ah, the visuals are usually a bust, because a small debt to "District 9", but all too often by a thick pea soup fog that obscures consistently, which shot firing at our fearless heroes. Then again, the turbidity is also employed the strategy of action that has no patience, "why" of something.

Eckhart does not make many movies in that direction, but his square jawed seriousness is not a game for the jargon-heavy dialogue that makes up awkwardly short rally-the-troops speech making. Of course, provides the placement of these noble warriors fighting on behalf of the United States, but with aliens in "V", we are told, these visitors arrived in strategic cities around the planet.

Unapologetically patriotism is usually a pretty safe bet, but "Battle: Los Angeles" never get over platitudes. As if an audience care about what happens when the smoke cleared, it's the kind of hard struggle, even John Wayne would be hard-pressed to win.
