Season of the Witch - Movie Review

Boy how the mighty have fallen, eh? Although there is a good chance of a career unpredictable movie star Nic Cage is not in danger, I can honestly say I know what happens at the head of one of the zaniest Hollywood players when it selects the movie, but it was definitely a tough course. Cage acquired respectability in Hollywood as shown an unwavering commitment to immerse themselves in practice, irrelevant, finally won an Oscar five years ago, working from Leaving Las Vegas Mike Figgis' Las. Three months later, Cage turned to self-action star of Michael Bay Rock arrives in the summer of '96 and things were never the same.
There was a time where I do not mind doing soulless Cage action-adventure films, because their success gave him the leeway to take risks for the wonderful little dramas like men Scott'sMatchstick Ridley, Spike Jones , adaptation and, more recently, Werner Herzog undervalued re-imagine the Bad Lieutenant. Cage even seemed to turn things in his cheerful support of Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass. But the bad starts to outweigh the good and even though Sorcerer Apprentice last summer was probably the best, worst, Cage, the future is not too bright season this month, the Witch, now that the production of Ghost Rider 2, or next month, Drive Angry (aka Ghost Rider car.) Season of the Witch Cage to team up again with his Gone in Sixty Seconds director Dominic Sena, and although the picture he opposes evil, it seems to correspond to the Sena is in hell.

Cage antics do not bother me before, but they are now, especially when I got to spenda Wednesday afternoon, waiting for the bus market research public cold just to seethat shit. As the 14th century the Crusaders Behmen Cage only grows so tired of war in the name of the church, the way we look upon him and the guy (Ron Perlman) Felson, a film for the opening montage. After accidentally killing an innocent woman in the heat of battle, decides to go AWOL Behmen with Felson behind him, where it ends as soonas the cage and Perlman probably decided not to increase the effective duration of their performance, like much to two men "New Yawk." journeys lead them to the village, which has apparently been decimated by STDs. No, not what you think, butsupernaturally spread of the disease. A mysterious epidemic has swept the city afterrabies campaign in the city.

Captured soldiers of the Church and Behmen Felson mission is to be made in exchange for their freedom. And then, Christopher Lee appears. Or at least it looks like Christopher Lee, because of bad make-up trying to make him a victim of theplague seems to be a bitch literally pushes her face. "It looks like someone took a pissin his holy water, " said Felson. Lee appearance here is almost as bad as his role in1985 from Howling II: Your sister is a werewolf, but this film also B-movie queen SybilDanning ripping her top eight. As the cardinal of Ambrose Lee asks these fugitivesescort a young woman entered witch (Claire Foy), and accused the authorities to invitethe scourge of the Church is several days later when his curse may be lifted force areligious book. Comes with a couple of their way to the Debelzaq Priest (StephenCampbell Moore, but when Cage says her name because it sounds more like "BallSack"), a knight who lost his family illness (Ulrich Thomsen ), a young boy want to win a knight (Robert Sheehan) and jailed for a crook apparently knows the safest route(Stephen Graham).

Season of the Witch is fast becoming one of "Ten Little Indians" stories, where our group of heroes are taken one by one as they encounter one obstacle after another during the trip. Pack break a rope bridge, wolves, or supernatural visions of long deadrelatives all seem to plague Behmen and his team. Then there is the idea that all their troubles may actually be the work of a girl who is either in league with the devil, oranother innocent already been condemned by the church without a fair trial. Behmenhopes to redeem himself intends to ensure that this does not happen, but their plight is a darker, even if it starts to have doubts.

It is a film where you wonder what the hell are all involved in thinking, and when it comes to leading man Cage, I will not even try. It is to bounce National Treasure follow-up Ghost Rider or something even more bizarre. Even when things go very lucky for her, the train wreck that is his career is very interesting to watch. It's almost as if the guy does not care about most. That's sad, but his latest venture is that it could take a bad Ron Perlman with him, which is the expression on his face as he awaits a call to his good friend, director Guillermo del Toro. Perlman can not even do their best exchange terrible, like "You never know God's enemies too? Yeah, that his friend is not easy. "Or things like" We're going to need water more holy. "Character actors such as Thomsen and Moore have the chops to make this material earth seems a little busy, but even with their outstanding performance can not save a script low. If there was a stand-out level, it would Foy as a witch without a name ("Hazel" would have been cool), which carries more than a handful of looks attractive, persuasive and can move looking dark and appearing innocent. Although now that I think I met young college girls in my time, which can be easily and successfully He clocked a fool I am.

It is amazing how a few years, Dominic Sena has grown from a promising directorBrad Pitt thriller dumped in California actioners big as Gone in Sixty Seconds andSwordfish late debris, such as Kate Beckinsale Whiteout mystery. Season of the Witchis not as bad as last time, but he does not talk much. The image is full of bad wigs, badlocation and bad CGI shots trying to do some exciting culmination of lengthy film.Worse still is the fact that this film can not even enjoy how ridiculous it is. Cage usually brings some kind of outrageous behavior of her roles, but in this case, it is pretty blandand worried look on his face suggests he has a look at its complete schedule of the next twelve months. At least if this film contains some laughs involuntary livable and I have often been considered fancy a cream pie in Sam Raimi's Army ofhorror-adventure-up Medieval Darkness. When all is said and done, the only personwe hear is a cage laughs and no doubt he is on his way to the bank. Released this movie, January 7 is the anniversary of Cage and he probably laughed louder and more absurd.
